Kue Nastar recipe
Recipe Name :Kue Nastar recipe

Ingredients :
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup softened unsalted butter
- ¼ cup confectioners’ sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup pineapple jam or preserves
- 1 egg, beaten, for egg wash

Method:
1. Sift flour and salt into a bowl and set aside.
2. Using a stand mixer, cream butter and confectioners’ sugar on medium speed for several minutes until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolks, one at a time. Add the egg yolks, one at a time. Add the vanilla and mix until combined.
3. Add the flour mixture and mix until fully incorporated.
4. Cover dough and refriegerate for about 30 minutes until firm.
5. Preheat oven to 325°F. Line several cookie sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on cookie sheets, Make a depression in the center of each dough ball and fill with about ½ teaspoon of the pineapple filling. Pinch the edges of the dough back around the filling, and turn seam side down. Place on sheets about 2 inches apart.
7. Brush the tops of each cookie with egg wash. Bake 15-18 minutes, rotating sheets halfway through, until shiny and golden. Cool on wire racks.
Cajun Stewed Corn

Ingredients :
- 2 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels
- 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped white onion
- 5 ripe cooking tomatoes or 2 large cans Muir
- fire roasted tomatoes with basil
- sea salt
- white pepper
- 2 fresh basil leaves
Method:
Mix all ingredients in a small stock pot. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer until corn is tender, about 15 minutes. Serve over natural, steamed, brown rice
Yakitori
Recipe Name: Yakitori
Preparation Time: Less then 15 mins
Cooking Time: 1 Hour
Ingredients:
- Chicken thighs: without bone and skin
- Japanese leek leek, or green onion
- Soya sauce
- Mirin
- Sugar
- Honey or maple syrup
- Small wooden spears
Method:
Mix together 4 tablespoons of soya sauce, 3 tablespoons of sugar, a little bit of honey or maple syrup, a little bit of mirin and water, and heat it up until it’s homogenous.
Cut the chicken thighs into about 3×2x2cm large pieces.
Put the chicken pieces into the already prepared sauce, and let it stand for a while.
Cut the leek or green onions in about 3 cm long pieces.
Spear three or four pieces of chicken and some leek on each wooden stick.
Grill them, or use the oven at 200 degrees celsius. (You may want to wrap the wooden sticks with aluminium foil; otherwise, they may burn off.)
Chicken Chilaquiles
Recipe Name : Chicken Chilaquiles
Preparation Time: less then 30 mins
Cooking Time : 2 Hours
Ingredients :
- 4 cups fresh tomatoes or tomatillos
- 2 large cloves garlic
- 1 jalapeno pepper (optional)
- 1/3 small onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 to 4 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 2 cups shredded Monterey jack cheese
- 1 (6 or 7 ounce) bag tortilla chips
- Sour cream (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Method:
Make salsa by washing and halving tomatoes (remove husks from tomatillos). Cut jalapeno in half and remove seeds and stem. Place tomatoes (tomatillos), garlic, jalapeno, onion, salt and pepper in blender and blend until smooth. Place in saucepan and cook over medium heat for 10 to 20 minutes. Add additional salt to taste, if desired. (NOTE: If not using a blender, peel tomatoes and chop all ingredients well before combining in saucepan. Start cooking on lower heat to prevent scorching; as juice forms turn the heat up to medium and continue as above.) If salsa is too thick, thin with a little chicken broth. Set half the salsa aside.
Mix half the salsa and half the cheese with the chicken.
Toss tortilla chips with remaining salsa. Layer the salsa and chips with the salsa and chicken mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 15 minutes to melt cheese.
Serve with sour cream.
Pungent Javanese Beef
Recipe Name : Pungent Javanese Beef
Preparation Time : 30 to 45 Mins
Cooking Time : 2 Hours
Ingredients :
- 1 large onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp. minced ginger root
- 2 Tbsp. canola (or other vegetable) oil
- 1 (1 1/2 pound) beef boneless chuck, tip or
- round, cut into 1 1/2-in. cubes
- 1 1/4 (one and one-fourth) c. water
- 1 Tbsp. tamarind powder or pulp or
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. dark soy sauce
- 2 tsp. packed brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
Method :
Cook and stir onion, garlic and gingerroot in oil in 10-in. skillet over med. heat until onion is tender; remove with slotted spoon. Add beef to skillet. Cook, stirring frequently, until all liquid is evaporated, and beef is brown, about 25 mins.
Stir in onion mixture and remaining ingredients except rice. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until beef is tender and sauce is thickened, about 1 1/2 hours. Skim off fat.
